Introduction:
Water has always played a significant role in our rituals, and I was wondering what could be the reason behind it .But did you know that water also has memory? This groundbreaking discovery was made by Nobel Prize-winning research, and it has sparked a new field of study known as "memory studies." In this article, we will explore the concept of water's memory and why it places a major role in our rituals.

The Discovery of 'Water Has Memory'
In 1988, French immunologist Jacques Benveniste published a study in the prestigious scientific journal Nature, claiming that water has the ability to retain the memory of substances it has been in contact with, even after those substances have been diluted to the point where no molecules of the original substance remain. This phenomenon, known as "water memory," was met with skepticism and controversy in the scientific community. However, in 2008, the research was replicated and confirmed by a team of scientists, leading to Benveniste's posthumous Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine in 2011.
The Implications of 'Water Has Memory'
The discovery of water's memory has opened up a whole new field of study known as "memory studies." This field explores the idea that water has the ability to store and transmit information, much like a computer's hard drive. This has led to further research into the properties of water and how it may be affected by external factors such as electromagnetic fields, sound waves, and even human emotions.
Water's Unique Properties
Water is a unique substance with many properties that make it essential for life. It is the only substance on Earth that exists in all three states - solid, liquid, and gas - at temperatures commonly found on the planet's surface. It also has a high surface tension, allowing it to form droplets and flow easily. These properties, along with its ability to dissolve a wide range of substances, make water an ideal medium for transporting and storing information.
Applications of 'Water Has Memory'
The concept of 'water has memory' has many potential applications in various fields. In medicine, it could lead to new ways of storing and transmitting information about drugs and their effects. In agriculture, it could help improve crop growth by storing information about specific nutrients and pesticides. In environmental science, it could aid in the detection and removal of pollutants from water sources. In the Information Technology , this could completely change the view of storage of data. The possibilities are endless, and further research in this field could lead to groundbreaking discoveries and advancements.
The Physical Aspect of water:
One intriguing fact is that our bodies are about 70% water, and the Earth itself is 75% water. This connection between us and the world around us is particularly evident during new and full moon days when we experience higher tides due to the gravitational pull of the moon. This phenomenon isn't limited to our oceans; our bodies, as observed by spiritual experts, also undergo changes. They suggest that on these days, there is an upsurge of the body's water, affecting our emotional and mental states. This is why meditation is encouraged during these times. Whether you're experiencing joy or sorrow, the amplification of your emotional state can be intense. By practicing meditation, you can find serenity amidst the chaos.
The Impact of water on Vital Organs:
Notably, vital organs like the heart, brain, and lungs are predominantly composed of water. The high tides during special lunar phases can influence the functioning of these organs. To maintain good health and a balanced life, it's advisable to engage in meditation on these specific days.

The Astonishing Water's Memory:
Recent Nobel prize winning scientific studies have revealed that water has memory. It retains the patterns of substances it comes into contact with, even after multiple dilutions. This discovery leads to some fascinating insights.
Water Reflects Our State of Mind:
A scientist conducted an experiment with water from the same source. He used harsh words near one container and soothing words near another. Surprisingly, the water droplets in both containers displayed distinct patterns. The former had a chaotic pattern, while the latter resembled a snowflake that is a symmetric form , showing how water can reflect our emotional state.
Water Activated by Thoughts:
In another experiment, three tumblers of water from the same source were used. When the scientist consciously focused his thoughts on one tumbler, it displayed a structured pattern. The other tumbler in a sealed container on the same table showed a similar pattern, while the one farther away remained unchanged. This suggests that our thoughts can impact the structure of water.
Here is one of the link for those experiments and their research:
Water's Role in Rituals:
Now that we have a deeper understanding of water's properties, we can explore its role in rituals.
1. Indeed, ancient texts and scriptures from various cultures often contain references to the use of water, such as water from a kamandala (a type of water vessel used by ascetics in Hindu tradition), in rituals, blessings, or curses. These texts reflect the belief in the sacred and transformative properties of water in different spiritual and religious practices. The use of water from a kamandala in a curse or blessing is rooted in the symbolism of water as a purifying and life-giving element. It is believed that water carries the energy and intention of the one who wields it, whether for positive or negative purposes. When a rishi or ascetic uses water to bestow a blessing, it is thought to convey divine favor and protection. Conversely, when water is used to cast a curse, it is believed to bring about negative consequences or spiritual consequences.
This is proven by the above 'thought experiments' that water can carry those thoughts and so as our body can not only sweat but could also absorb this water and so could have it's impact on us.
2. Even today ,in many temples, receiving "teertam" or "theertham" is a common and important practice. Teertam is consecrated or sanctified water that holds spiritual significance and is offered to devotees as a form of blessings, purification, and spiritual nourishment.
The specific rituals and practices associated with the use of water in this manner can vary depending on the cultural and religious context. It's a testament to the profound role water plays in the spiritual and symbolic landscape of many traditions, where it is seen as a conduit for transmitting spiritual power and intention.
By partaking this water , our body may gradually undergo changes in its internal composition. As previously mentioned, our bodies consist primarily of water. Through this process, we could potentially attune ourselves to a resonance that establishes a connection with the primordial form of the universe symbolized by the eternal sound 'AUM.'
3.Likewise, in housewarming ceremonies, we are given consecrated water to sprinkle around our new home, creating a connection between our residence and this sacred and purified water.
Finally :
In conclusion, water is not just a passive element in our rituals but an active medium that can influence our physical and spiritual well-being. Understanding the scientific basis for these practices adds depth to our appreciation of the role water plays in our lives.
